How often do we sit and look through magazines and turn green with envy at the perfect life of celebrities?
Sitting in our tiny New York apartments, crammed with our five roommates and their cat, we salivate over stars’ perfect bodies lounging by their infinity pools, in their larger than life mansions filled with servants and assistants of all sorts, making sure their every need gets satisfied.
Drinking our Starbuck’s venti soy latte we check out celebrity party photos and scrutinize every designer outfit, feeling life is not fair, because we too deserve the $25,000 gift bag just received by the Star of the Month.
Life becomes fair and bright for the mere mortal like you or me, when we see those “perfect bodies” on the cover of our favorite magazine, covered in unsightly dimples.
Camera zooming in on every “nook and cranny” , makes us relate to Jennifer X or Kim Y, like nothing else. We feel this bond of sisterhood with the victims of the cellulite monster that no amount of $$$ in the bank account can break.
There is a feeling of satisfaction knowing that our cellulite is actually less visible, even if we do work out climbing the subway stairs and not with a celebrity trainer.
Life is good knowing that under the layers of perfectly applied spray-on tan and makeup, beneath the latest designer outfit, is a thigh that looks just like yours or mine-maybe not perfect-but real.
I guess celebrities are just real people with glamorous jobs, and every woman after all is glamorous with cellulite or not. But if you are looking for that “celebrity look”, fear not, it’s easier then you think.
A number of celebrities sneak away to have their cellulite reduced by lasers at the hot local Medical Spa. If you live in a major city, there are dozens if not hundreds…and in New York City‘s case, thousands of centers and treatments to have your cellulite reduced.
