The whole world has immersed itself in the Michael Jackson Memorial. Millions of people all over the world are saying their final “good-byes” to the man that has fascinated us all, as much with his music genius as his ever changing appearance.
As our society continues its obsession with everlasting youth and increasing importance of outside appearance, I wonder how far away are we from morphing into our own versions of Michael?
Looking at the reflection in the mirror do we find comfort in seeing the “old” familiar face or are we frightened “to death” by the passage of time imprinted in our once smooth complexions?
I am endlessly fascinated by our constant need for change, yet we find it ever more difficult to accept the natural changes that occur with our bodies. Living our lives surrounded by “artificial reality”, we are slowly losing our natural instincts and natural beauties.
