Last night I looked over my old pictures. I smiled as I revisited the ghosts from the past.
I am lucky to have many good memories.
I looked at photos of myself from when I was 19 and I can honestly say that I have not changed much in the 10+years since then. Most people when they meet me think I am 22 and are surprised to hear I am a thirty years old woman.
I am lucky to have good genes.
I am also lucky to work in the beauty industry and have the opportunity to take advantage of cutting edge laser treatments and products.
Would I look just as young if I did not educate myself about my skin, its needs and available options?
Would I still get carded when buying lottery tickets if I did not invest in preventing the signs of aging?
Even with amazing genes running in the family, I am sure the reflexion I see in the mirror would look significantly more “mature.”
It is a lot easier and more cost effective to prevent the early signs of aging, rather than fix the damage that is already done and clearly “staring us in the face.”
Preventative care and cutting edge laser technology is no longer available only to the lucky few and privileged.
Why do I see so many women wait till it is almost too late to make a signigficant change in their appearance? Why do they wait until they are left with few limited and expensive options to turn back the clock?
Don’t turn back the clock…stop it!
